2 tbsp olive oil
Backwoods Yard Bird Seasoning
Optional: Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.

- Brush each thigh lightly with olive oil.
- Season generously on all sides with Backwoods Yard Bird Seasoning.
- Arrange the thighs skin-side up on a wire rack set over a baking sheet, or place directly on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 175°F.
- For extra crispy skin, switch the oven to broil for the last 2–3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Pitmaster Tip
For even crispier skin, leave the seasoned chicken uncovered in the refrigerator for 2–4 hours (or overnight) before baking. This helps dry the skin and creates an incredible crunch.
